I am 18 years old and i am looking for a half decent motorbike under a grand if possible but im not really sure how much it would cost me to run with insurance and everything. Im really looking to see how much it would cost on a monthly basis. Thanks in advance:)

I don’t think you will find a decent motorcycle for under $1000. If you did, it would probably need a lot of work.
Insurance will be expensive depending on which bike you get.

What size bike are you looking at?
What year model?
Sport or street?
Have you, or are you planning to attend a MSF class?
All these factors come into play when budgeting for a motorcycle
You can get a half decent motorbike for about a grand. The other half will cost another grand.
Insurance? Go to Progressive on-line and get a quote. Be honest — if they have to pay they will be checking and any fraud voids their having to pay.
While you can get away with parking a beater cage on the street, even a rat bike will disappear into the night. A garage or shed to house the bike would be wise.
You will most likely also want some sort of protective gear in case you stop riding unintentionally drastic. Leather boots, gloves, jacket, and a full face helmet.
